Sugar Rush 1000: Slot Overview
In this Sugar Rush 1000 slot review we look at a 7x7 cascading grid set in a neon candy sprawl, breaking down how its cluster wins, tumbles and multiplier cells work together across the base game and bonus. With no fixed paylines, the slot centres entirely on clearing large sections of the grid while rocket scatters and sticky multipliers dictate both the pacing and the overall volatility.
Graphics & Sound: Psychedelic Candy Grid
The candy planet is in orbit, the machine spits out gummies, and the palette is full-on rainbow overdose. Visually, Sugar Rush 1000 is almost a copy of the original with a light facelift: when clusters pop you now get red-and-white sweets instead of purple gum, as if a lollipop has just exploded on the grid.
In Sugar Rush 1000 demo play it still looks like a child’s fever dream, where the screen is drowned in pink candyfloss and multipliers start dropping from the very first spin. Pretty, sugary, a bit over the top.
The music is the same looping “cheery” track from the first Sugar Rush, with a barely noticeable extra beat layered in. At normal volume it is just as cloying and insistent. The one genuinely new touch is the scatter alert: a sharp audio cue that makes you tense up early, even when that rocket scatter ends up doing absolutely nothing.

Volatility & RTP
The default RTP for Sugar Rush 1000 is 96.53%, which is fairly typical for Pragmatic Play. Volatility is pushed to the maximum. The slot caps wins at x25,000 times your stake; as soon as that ceiling is hit, the bonus round stops instantly and any remaining spins are written off.
How to Play Sugar Rush 1000
You set your stake in Sugar Rush 1000 with the “+” and “–” buttons, anywhere from 0.20 to 240 per spin, then start a round with the main spin button or the Space bar. Sound and music can be muted separately in the settings. Depending on the jurisdiction, the slot also offers autospins, quick spins and turbo mode, though these extras are disabled in UK-regulated versions.
Game Symbols and Payouts
Sugar Rush 1000 pays for clusters rather than lines. Wins are awarded for groups of five or more matching symbols that touch horizontally or vertically on the 7x7 grid; diagonals do not count.

Sugar Rush 1000: Slot Features
The Sugar Rush 1000 slot doesn't have any complex mechanics, but two main symbols determine the grid's behavior:
- Scatter: the chewy rocket symbol acts as the scatter and can land anywhere. Three or more rockets on the screen in the same spin trigger the free-spins bonus round.
- Multiplier cells: every time a winning cluster explodes, each tile under the winning symbols is marked. If another win later in the same sequence lands on a marked tile, that position gains a multiplier: first x2, then x4, x8 and so on, up to x1024. In the base game, marks and multipliers last only for the current cascade sequence; in Free Spins, they stay on the grid until the end of the bonus.
Bonus Choice
Standard bonus rounds are unlocked from the main game; a separate Super Bonus is only available as a paid feature in jurisdictions where bonus purchases are permitted.
When three or more rocket Scatters land in the same spin, you get:
- 3 Scatters – 10 Free Spins
- 4 Scatters – 12 Free Spins
- 5 Scatters – 15 Free Spins
- 6 Scatters – 20 Free Spins
- 7 Scatters – 30 Free Spins
During Free Spins multiplier cells no longer reset between spins: once a tile has a multiplier, it keeps it for the whole bonus. Retriggers follow the same scheme as the initial trigger, so another batch of three or more rockets adds 10, 12, 15 and so on Free Spins to the remaining total.
In the Super Bonus, all 49 tiles on the 7x7 grid start already marked with a x2 multiplier. Visually it looks ridiculous from the first spin; in practice, what those multipliers actually do still depends entirely on how kindly the clusters line up.
Summary
Wins in the Sugar Rush 1000 base game appeared about once every five to six spins, but most of them were clusters that paid out around a third of the bet or less. There were the odd spikes – when multipliers actually connected, the screen woke up, especially with x8 and higher – but for the most part it felt like a “sit tight and see if anything happens” kind of grid.
Free Spins behaved the same way. Sometimes the very first spin looked promising and everything after that was flat. Sometimes nothing happened until the last spin. More often than not, it was just quiet all the way through. Even when multiplier cells stacked up nicely, without fresh clusters landing on them they were just background decoration.
If you’d prefer something with a clearer rhythm or simply a different temperament, Gates of Olympus or Big Bass Bonanza are safer bets for testing this style of high-volatility play.
